Alert:- Are there an increase in dog attacks in your locale? Followers of this and other Natural Websites as well as new readers. consider who gains to Profit from Dog attacks. The owners of the attacking Dog when found will have to pay a fine, the Dog may be euthenased and you will pay all the Medical expenses. The winner is the Vet. So consider whether you need to expose you Pet to this scenario. Ask yourself what the motive is and realise that Natural Websites for Pets are taking income from the winners and they need to balance things.. Be wise with Pet exercise and the places where they are less likely to be attacked.

ALERT:- It is Tick season so your Animals need to be checked often!! If you locate a Tick remove it with a pointed set of tweezers ensuring you remove the head. Put Charcoal on the spot left after Removal. Give the animal regular doses of Charcoal orally as these remove toxins from the Blood. If you live on Acreage purchase some Guinea Fowl as they are the greates of Tickers ever and they will clear your property of Ticks.

1. Alkalise their urine and at the same time give them their Vitamin "C" sustained release (one per day half in the morning and half at night)from your local Health Food store and use Bi Carbonate of Soda a pinch in the drinking water. We have tested this change over a three month period with successful results. You get less grass burn and they get Vitamin "C" and less allergy affects.

2. Give Mega "B" or "B" Complex tablet (<<1/4) daily (wash all of the outer dyes from all tablets as they are hard on the liver). Also give Magnesium Tablets 2 or more depending on Dog size, at different times of day. In Australia we recommend that Heron Magnesium Plus be used and is available in supermarkets. For other countries the Magnesium tabs to look for are those that contain Magnesium Oxide 530.7 mg, Manganese sulfate 15.4mg, and Vitamin B6 50mg. You may like to give an oral liquid Magnesium and the one that is available is Kruse's Fluid Magnesia http://www.fgb.com.au/ . There is also magnesium oil available which you can massage into areas that are causing discomfort to your pet, http://www.rejuvehealth.com/ . Use less than a 1/4 Multivitamin tablet per day

3. Serve only human grade Kangaroo meats as they contain less preservatives and additives which may cause allergies but certainly add toxins. Before cooking the minced meat add some Tumeric sayfor medium to large dogs a level teaspoon to the meat and mix it in. When Cooked Tumeric is a lot stronger in its action. It is a good idea to give Dandelion for a general detox. Dogs tend to gulp their food so it is a good idea grate the raw veggies so that it is easier to digest. We have found that broccoli is probably the best of the veges to give and blends easily. While blending add a couple of Blueberries as they control the production of Uric Acid at the proper levels.Mix the meats and veges, or sprinkle over the meal when the meat has cooled,(veges in greater portion and increase the amout if your dog eats grass. The grass may have poisons on it so we have found that increasing the raw veges stops the urge to eat grass) and add half to one teaspoon of grated Pineapple including the core which provides Bromilane to aid digestion and to avoid gas build up, cook the meat through. Sometimes add a little bit of unroasted seaweed torn up. The seaweed is also good to tear up and give to Cats in their wet food, is very good for akalising them. Salmon or Sardines (in Spring Water, not oil) mixed in will provide calcium and is better than more meat(watch for allergic reactions to seafood). Add a tablespoon of Lecithin to help the liver to function properly. You will find this diet is good for Summer rash(ensure that the rash is not due to fleas), however, some dogs still present a rash so give charcoal 2 times a day for the duration of summer. The addition of Glcosamine and Collagen is good for Arthritis and stiffness and vitamin "c" powder. Blending the food allows for better digestion, and absorption.  You should try black bean ( remember to soak 24hrs) mashed up well and more seaweed, and you can then try canned salmon with the bones first. This is particularly good for animals that are wasting in the muscular areas (Give 3-4 small snacks of this to incontinent animals each day and see the difference). Bromelain, also helps with digestion. Give kelp to speed up metabolism. Giving the raw veges and meat diet to Prudence, one of our 4Paws Animal Rescue Foster Dogs, caused her to loose the tilting twist that she was getting with her head, like she had an ear infection. Her head is straight now and she hasn't looked back. You may also give your dogs a raw egg yolk every so often mixed into their meal but do not give them the raw white. Another tip is to use Psyllium Husk's mixed with water as extra fibre if there is a loose fecal problem and even if not. For dogs with ulcerative Colitis you may get Now brand  natural fibre called Inulin which is made from Chickory Root as their extra fibre from I Herb.

4. If your Dog has eaten something that has caused a tummy upset? Give them Charcoal, depending on the size, for large give 4 capsules/two teaspoons, for small to medium give two capsules/one teaspoon. Three hours after this give them 1 Liquorice Root to soothe the mucosa lining. Liquorice is also good to give when you hear stomach rumbles, it is also a good antioxidant as is Bladder wrack Thyroid Tonic which should be given 2x/day for older dogs. Remember Pineapple Core is good for digesting the food (Bromilade). Whenever you give your Dog capsules or tablets it is a good idea to wrap them in Unsalted Butter.

5. Gout or Arthritis try giving Vitamin "A" 10,000iu(not Beta Carotene) and two "B"5 250mg. Ginger and Cayenne and Turmeric (1tsp of ea) with Quercitin (1/4tsp) mixed in a vegecap served with a meal is also a good anti inflamatory when given with Glucosamine 1500 2x/day ( wrap in unsalted butter). Make sure you put them on the above diet(para 3) adding  Rosemary (ground). More Ginger for inflamation is Recommended. Cartilage should be given with their food and as snacks as well, including allergy dogs as well, clean off all meat and fats. A new source of Collagen is Neo Cell Super Collagen available at www.iherb.com.  Ask your butcher to keep the end of breast bone for you, and also chicken shops may keep them for you, these are a good source of Collagen Cartilage. Gelatin can be used but it contains other bi-products, which can cause an allergic reaction in some dogs. All of the above should help build up the cartilage in the animal over time. Use only human Venison, Beef and Kangaroo as the pet Grade is sprayed with poison to prevent oxidisation and this poison can cause cancer. No pork or rabbit.

6. For those who choose not to give poisons for Heartworm and All Wormer for Cats and Dogs, there are natural products available. For Heartworm info go to http://www.heartwormfree.com/ and for All Wormer info http://www.greenpet.com.au/ We use Mintec and B1 as well Mega "B", the dose of these should be increased to 2 of each for medium to large dogs, don't forget to wash off the outer dye and wrap in unsalted butter,( double the dose of mintec when mossie and flea season is at it's height and after rainy weather and we keep our Dogs inside until the threat deminishes) for heartworm and a Herbal mix All Wormer from Greenpet. For mossies in the house we use the Yellow Bugs Away light globes at all the entrances like doors and Doggie Doors and if nessesary, Mortien Nature guard in dark areas taking the usual precautions of covering food and water and removing all animals until vapours have settled. We sprinkle the carpets and rugs with ground Clove Powder to control fleas and ticks. During the summer months when the rainy weather is about, use the Dog Shampoo with Tea Tree Oil to wash the animals leaving it on for 15minutes before rinsing it off (Home Brand from Woolies or make your own by mixing a few drops of Tee Tree oil in a non soap Shampoo). Also use the Clove Powder on carpets and furnishings daily with the routine housework. The h2o mop from http://www.danos.com.au/ would be a time saving device for flea control. Clove Powder sprinkled on rugs and carpets and of course, bedding. As for vaccinations after initial and booster we recommend that you read about the for's and against's in a book by Dr Pitcairn Natural Health for Dogs and Cats. He has not used annual vaccinations in his practice for over 17 years.

7. To prevent old dogs getting pressure sores on hips and shoulders make up some pads using bubble wrap in cotton sachets and place under your pet whenever it lays on hard surfaces. You may find that they cannot chew bones either so get your butcher to grind the chicken bones into the mince and that will give natural calcium to your pet. If your old dog doesn't walk much and becomes very restless and clear froth/drool appears around the mouth, they may have wind trapped in the tummy so you can either rub and pat their back as you do with babies, or as we do put them on the vibra link machine low setting for ten mins (machine available at Deals Direct) Don't forget the Pinapple for digestion and this will help upset tummy to settle. Old Dogs need their vitamin D so ensure that they get at least 5-10minutes of sun or give a couple of vitamin D3 tabs and sardines in water, not oil, each day. The vibra link machine is also good for clearing the lungs of fluid.

8. For Allergy Dogs a vegetable diet of the mixed(see para 3) raw veges and try Vennison as a meat ( we suggest seaweed, and the vege mix) with golden seal being given at 4/day ( wrapped in unsalted butter)2 morning and 2 night. Allergy Dogs and ones with arthritis give them the Bromelain (grated pineapple core) away from meals 3-4 times per day.

9. All Dogs and desexed animals will need some hormone therapy so as they age they should get some Bladderwrack which is available in bulk powder from Herb Wholesalers. Black Beans, as prepared above, mashed well. You can also get a herbal tincture made up by Greenpet with Chaste tree and Blessed Thistle.

10. To enable your pet to remove fur balls you should give them more raw veggies with grated Pineapple, core included, than meat . It is also a good preventative measure if you brush them regularly and for long haired varieties keep hair as short as is practical. You know that they have fur balls when they eat grass. Try brushing your dogs teeth with a plain toothbrush. Dried Kangaroo Tendon Chews are also good to help clean teeth. Using a spray bottle that is clean make up some green tea which you put in the spray bottle and use as a mouth rinse after cleaning the teeth. It all takes less than a minute/day the green tea keeps bacterior down.

11. Older Dogs should have have the above diet with the Pineapple for easier digestion. Old and young Dogs, desexed or not should have black turtle beans soak for 24hrs (due to Toxidity in the beans) and pressure cook for 20mins after reaching pressure, 4oz,in their meals every day, and they need some Estro Cream rubbed onto their hairless skin areas every day.

12. Thyroid and Adrenals must be treated together always as they affect each other. Give half a capsule of Sarsparella for a medium size Dog eg border Collie and a quarter capsule for small Dogs eg Lhasa Apso. Also check out the Thyroid section of Skyes Page.

13. Liver& Kidney contain "B" Vitaminswhich are good to control hyperactive Dogs so give to all dogs some of both 4-5 times a week. Inaddition for the Hyperactive dogs give them the liver and Kidney every day with a B1 and 1x Folic Acid. Don't forget you should cook the offal in water and using the offal this way ensures no additives or colours.

WHATS NEW: Check Skyes Page for Updates Also

Check out Blossoms Story on Georges Page (loaded  12/4/2014)

To help control Blood Sugars add a small amount of Black Turttle beans (soak 24 hrs prior to cooking) to each meal and snack, and raw Pineapple with the core grated.

Check the Flea control section for additional info.

Desexing of Animals- You should not let the Vet just remove the Ovaries or Testicals. These are very important for longivety and hormone production. Ask them to cut and tie the tubes in Males and if they won't then go to one that will. The moment the Ovaries or Testicals are removed your Pet goes into menopause and also the risk of cancer and heart attack is increased, remember if you remove the items your pet is the one that suffers. Leave the Ovaries they are important.

Diabetes2- use some natural fat left on meats,on their meals, it helps slow sugars and stop sudden fluctuations naturally.

Ginger- an increase in ginger consumption has helped Georgeeatfoods she couldnot eat before as it has decreased the inflamation in the gut. However the Pinapple is better

Sarsparella- very good for old and young Dogs who are nervous and aging. Dries up runny eyes and vaginal discharge.

Bearberry- support your dogs kidneys. Our Dogs eat protien every day and this puts a strain on Kidneys and Bearberry(Uva Ursi) helps clean the Kidneys of waist. A must for old Dogs. The Liver needs Milk Thistle so give both for thr Liver and Kidney support.

Eczema(Summer Itch)- give 2x Biotin/day,1x MultiVitamin/day,2x B5 Caps twice/Day, 1 B12/day, and apply Witch Hazel undiluted direct to the red patches with cotton balls. Vinegar can be used for wounds sores and open infections, it will sting a little sometimes butwill cleanup infections fast. Of course the best way would be to change the diet to the Raw Veges with Pineapple and cooked human grade kangaroo meat and the Eczema is beaten before it breaks out.

Folic Acid is also a must at even though we give the multi at << 1/4 day and it contains folic acid.As our dogs age or even have stress give folic acid with B12 up to 10 tablets/day. If your dog has seizures do not give them any more than they get with the Multi vitamin. Now we also know that we can give the Folic Acid naturally with raw veges ( Broccoli, Spinach and Seaweed).

Antioxidants- Pine bark powder is what I give my dogs to stop free radicals. 1 Cap, morning and night.

Red Wine- It has been proven by Scientists, that a dose of red wine every day prolongs the lifespan by 30% in all living creatures, so give at least a tablespoon of alcholic red wine every day to your Dog.

Check the Anti Inflammatory part in para 5 Gout Arthriris for new info.

Check out the Teeth Cleaning on Georgies page.

Check out the Boron on Skyes page.

Inflamation-ginger powder and green tea(use bags and place into capsules), vitamins C+E. Try seaweed in large amounts.

ANAL GLANDS- natural treatment for anal glands if you are unable to squeeze them is to give plenty more fibre in the diet. Try the raw vege, blueberries and pinapple grated (with core) and mix in with the well cooked and cooled mince as well as Fibre Sure Clear and Natural by Metamusil. The increase in fibre stops the diarrhea motions infecting the glands. Prudence had recuring anal gland problems which resulted in multiple courses of Anti Biotics. We took her for an Ultra Sound and the result was that everything was normal with no growths. More antibiotics were prescribed for a swollen and oversized clitoris. We were also told that when swelling went down that she would have to have the clitoris removed surgically. This seemed wrong so we tried a flucanazole 1 which we got from the chemist for the 1 dose treatment of vaginal thrush which eased the symtoms within 4 for hours and now she is almost well. So if you have a dog with urinal tract, anal gland, or wetting problems, make sure that it is not Candida. To assist her recovery and support health she is on an imune enhancer reishi mushroom and andographis with a yeast defense 4 times a day away from meals and a cap of clove powder once a day, chinese garlic 2 aday, stinging nettle root 2 a day, and bladderwrack three times a day with food. She also gets intestinal support with L Gluttamine 2x2 a day, same with Bovine Colostum, Glucosamine and Chickory Powder, Boswelia 2/day, Yerba Mate tea 3/day in food, nettle leaf and B5 and Bromilain (pineapple) between meals. Look further down the page for a paragraph on treatment of Anal Gland Infections.

FLEAS-The main thing to use for Fleas is Ground Cloves powder. Sprinkle it on you dogs and rub in, sprinkle on the bedding and carpets/rugs and around the hard floor edging, especially after wet warm weather. Give large doses of vitamin B1 as this makes the blood bitter and deters fleas and other blood feeding pests.

SEASONAL MOULTING-This is a very stressfull time for your Dogthat happens twice a year, summer and winter. With the old hair falling out and the new ones pushing through they will itch. Do not think it is Fleas and use those poisons on them or in their food. Keep up the clove pwderon the furnishings and do this twice a day as a safeguard if you suspect fleas as well. You may increase the grooming to help remove the loose hair and this will lead to less iritation. Do not use chemicals as most are poisonouse and the dog will lick it off and get sick.

Hormones- It is important to support the hormone so we use parsley and sage and dates in their food. We use black Turtle Beans from Fair Go foods Wises Road Maroochydore soaked for 24hrs before cooking to get rid of toxins. These are better than Soy( never use soy on your dog). Black Raisins, don't go wild with them and limit to a teaspoon, are also used with their food and these are also from Fair Go Foods because they are full of Boron and no oil. Dogs do not chew their food they gulp it down so its a Vets Myth that grapes or raisins are toxic to your dogs. You can get a Herbal mixture containing Chast Berry, Vervain, and horsetail from Greenpet. Male hormones require Saw Palmetto.

Eyes- Ifyour dogs eyes are running or slightly red in the corners use some Visene Advanced (from Pharmacies) to sooth eyes. Use morning, noon, and night. You can also get Ircal from a pharmacy to use. Use Goden seal 4 or more caps /day

Thyroid- to stimulate the thyroid for normal living you should give a capsule of kutki, a half dropper of Gugul Gum, and half teaspoon of Chinese Garlic Oil twice a day with meals. If condition does not improve the give a small amount or of Thyroid tissue, or you can get Raw Thyroid Capsules from iherb which also contains tissue from adrenal parts, but not if theyhave hair loss, large or small amounts

Glyceamic Index- Any redness of the skin or in the ears, lumps in the ears, or any other itchy skin, then remove all fruit and remove Carrot from the diet. You must up the intake of Fibre Sure and ensure that you do not remove the skin from the Zuchini. Don't remove if your dog has high anxiety use low GI fruit. Black Beans keep sugar even also add golden seal 4 tabs /day

Chlorophyll- for Dogs of all ages give a tablet a daywhen in heat. We use Swisse Ultiboost high Strength Chlorophyll+. In Dogs in Heat the odour will be gone. Make sure you read the Label and ensure that whichever ones you use, do not contain Spearmint Oil which will cause illness. Do not use fluid.

Glutamine- one cap morning and night with meals. It increases the absorbtion intesternally and will improve the summer itch problem.

Cystitis- can be confused with anal gland problems and thrush. Keep vagina and anus areas very clean and give bearberry (uva ursi) two caps twice a day and Bromelain one cap twice a day plus a cap of horsetail twice a day as well. Make sure you are using the Raw Vege Blueberry and Pineapple with the cooked meat Diet. You should spray the vulva and anus with Colloidal Silver and a couple of sprays into the mouth at the same time. The Colloidal Silver can be made by you at home after the purchase of a maker from your local health food store. After each time that your pet goes to the toilet you should wash the Anus and surrounding areas including, and importantly so, the tail, as fecal matter on the tail may cross contaminate to the Vagina. Keep the fur very short around the genital and anal areas. Use clean water and cotton balls using them only once then discard and get a clean one to clean the next area. If there is secretions that mat the hair around the Vagina making them hard, you shoud clean the area with warm water then vaseline the area, doing it gently, twice a day,  and use toilet paper every time they urinate or deficate. Dab do not rub.

Arthritis and Osteo Joint Repair- we have trailed the following with good results. Glcosamine (vege only) with Collagen mixed in at a rate of 200gmsof Collagen/Kilo of glucosamine and had exellent results. We gave acap of the Anti Inflam as well twice a day, but you could give up to 4x/day. Also give a Cod Liver Vit A 1/day, boswellia 2 caps/day with meals, boron 1/2 Cap /day, green tea caps x 4/day, bladderwrack 4times /day with food, Sarsparilla 1cap/day, you can also give milk thistle 1cap/day and  rosehipand hibiscus tea 4/day with food.

Almond Meal:-For a good insoluble fibre add a table spoon of Almond meal to each meal for medium to large dogs and halve that for the smaller breeds. whereever Inulin fibre is mentioned that is a Soluble fibre

Vitamin "C"-use the above diet and the blueberries and grated pineapple and core will supply the vitamin C

Allergy  eyes red in the corners, tail biting, rash, red itchy skin, sneezing. Give Boswellia at a dose of 2 capsules twice a day and Rosehip Tea dosed at 2 bags, in Capsules or food, a day.

Infections These can be from many sourses including Worm infestation, Dental problems, Anal Gland, and even Eyes. Give Astragalus dosed at 2 capsules twice a day, kutki dosed at 2 capsules twice a day, Colloidal Silver a tablespoon three times a day, Reishi Mushroom 1/2 a Capsule a day, pancreatic enzymes dosed at 1 capsule with meals, Bladderwrack 2 capsules a day.

Inflamation many causes like Anal Glands, Arthritis, any swelling or red area, use Boswellia 2 caps 2x/day, Glucosamine ( Vegetable not Crustacion) 2 caps away from food x 2/day, Yucca 1 cap 3x/day, ginger 1tsp 3x/day, Cayene Pepper with meals (equiv 1 cap), Cod Liver Vitamin A1/day only, 4x Magnesium Caps/day with food. This can be used with infection formula.

Stress L Tyrosine dosed at 2 caps/day or 1/2 a tsp aday, Valerian 1 cap at night time, Green Tea Caps x4 spread over the day, and 4 Bladderwrack over the day.

Virus Warts Interal/external  Astragalus dosed at 2x caps/day, Kutki x2 Caps/day, L Glutamine x3 Caps/day, Vitamin C Rosehip Tea 2 bags/day spread on meals, Colloidal Silver dosed at a tbls 3x/day by mouth and swab open sores and cuts same rate. Vinegar swabs are good too and straight from bottle but nil by mouth.

Cancer and Other Lumps: Look up the Mushroom groups especially Cordycepts ( knownTumor shrinker) along with the otherone mentioned. Tumeric is a great anti inflam and should be given three or four times a day and also Oregan Grape.

1:- Introducing Kirra an adopted Cat. She was fed some all fish tinned food and some well known dried catfood with the dyes and grains. Now kirra was fed this as she was in with another cat and that one did not like moist canned food.

2:- Kirra showed signs of an alergy which caused the hair on her back to dry and knott up so badly that it was pulling her skin. her hair was cut off with scissors and she had scaly skin like dandruff so we fed her some high omega oil and the canned food that she liked. For vitamins she was fed Incremen from the local pet store.

3:- Since taking away the stock standard dry food and only letting her have Dried whole fish, canned all fish, and a bit of Cat Grass and Seaweed she has no more alergies and her hair is soft and fine.

4:- Conclusion--- Avoid Coloured and grain dryfoods and ensure that the Cat gets plenty of high Omega foods with a dose of Vitamins and Cat Grass, seaweed, and even some grated green vegies.

                                 Geetechs Story

She was born 9/01/2011 at Woombye, the only female in a litter of eight. She was a happy little thing full of personality, however the conditions she was living in were appalling. Late in her second week with us she became ill. It was found that she was infested with worms and they had caused a serious infection. The remaining Litter and parents were seized by the RSPCA. It was a cruelty case. The litter and adults were treated for Hook Worm infestation and infection with Antibiotics and were removed to a temporary home until well.

When she was 7 months old she lost the hair off the back of her back legs. Then off and on she had bouts of vomiting. I gave her Astragalus 2 caps a day, and kutki 2caps a day. Everything seemed to be ok again.

I noticed bite marks up her legs. She had Micro Mange! It was clearing up with natural home remedies but I got impatient ang used Advantic but only used two ampoules and threw the third away as i was giving her Reishi Mushroom Powder to help her immune system Support. The Reishi shortened the time it took to rid of the mange.

Before the Mange episode she was taken to Mountain Creek Vets because of her on again off again vomiting. No advice or help was given. You cannot keep giving Antibiotics.

The whole problem stems from the Hookworm infestation

Our treatment plan is give Colloidal Silver twice a day about ten mls each time every day, but give a break of two days away from the Colloidal Silver every two months. Also give the Astralagus and Kutki as above for Internal support and also Reishi to enhance immune.

When Geetech had the Vomiting and diorhrea i gave her Glutamine in water for her stomach linings, one syringe full of each delivered under the lip slowly to let her drink it down repeat this 4 times a day. Later I gave her a syringe of Colloidal Silver repeated 4 times a day. This treatment meant that the following day she was fine and ate her Breakfast with gusto and kept it down.

Geetech's appetite has returned to normal and she no longer needs the Colloidal Silver as every thing is back to normal. She is the happiest she has ever been and we put the past problems down to not being treated properly for the original worm infestation.

When the seasonal moulting takes place Geetech was finding it a bit hard, to cope and the new hair was course and not as thick as the previous hair. I lowered he Vinegar intake level and she vomited. I tried one dose of a teaspoon of vinegar, diluted in water, on an empty stomach and it caused her to find it difficult to swallow for a long time after the dosing. I have taken the vinegar out now as it was a sledge hammer approach. Now she has before breakfast 4 caps of Astragalus with a little butter to help her take the caps and also three caps of Bladderwrack with a little butter both on the empty tummy. Forty minutes before lunch she gets a 10ml of Colloidal silver by syringe and I repeat the dosage of Astragalus and Bladderwrack. Forty minutes before Dinner a repeat of the dosage of Astragalus and then 4 caps of Bladderwrack and 1Kelp Tab.

I have now changed Geetech's herbs to1 Astragalus and 2 Glutamine's each morning along with one Bladderwrack. At night I now give 2 Glutamine and another Bladdderwrack. She also has 1 and a half Blackmores Sustained Release vitamin "C" each Morning and another 1 with a kelp Tablet as well as her Glutamine and Bladderwrack. Giving the extra "C" has had a wonderful effect on her and she has not been sick at all. I also make sure there is no blood from undercooked Meat as all meats should only have clear juices. Her motions are normal and have been since I started the new method.
